Four More Medals for Iranians at Asian Taekwondo Championships

Iran’s Armin Hadipour claimed a gold medal in the men’s -54kg weight class after defeating Thailand’s Ramnarong Sawekwiharee.

Bronze medal went to Kazakhstan’s Galymzhan Serikbay and Muatasem Abu-Zaid from Jordan.

In the men’s -58kg, Mirhashem Hosseini from Iran won a gold medal after beating Mongolian Molomyn Tumenbayar.

Indonesian Ibrahim Zarman and Abdelazeez Mohamed from Qatar won the bronze medal.

Abolfazl Yaghoubi of Iran took a silver medal in the men’s -63kg being defeated by South Korean Kim Seok-bae in the final match.

Nutthawee Klompong from Thailand and China’s Zhao Shuai snatched the bronze medal.

Iran’s Nahid Kiani seized a bronze medal in the women’s -46kg weight class along with Thailand’s Napaporn Charanawat.

Liu Kaiqi from China won the gold medal after beating Lin Wan-ting from Chinese Taipei.

Iran’s Melika Mirhosseini had won a bronze medal in the women’s +73kg on the first day of the competition.

The 2016 Asian Taekwondo Championships are the 22nd edition of the Asian Taekwondo Championships, which kicked off at the Marriott Convention Center Grand Ballroom in Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines on April 18.
